This was such a fun day. I was FINALLY starting to feel better. I hadn't been to Utah to see family since the holidays. Nate had meetings in Salt Lake and my Father-in-Law needed to come to idaho so the kids and I got a ride to Utah with him (I was feeling better but not enough to make that drive alone).Since Kyle's birthday is March 16th (a Monday) and we were going to be in town, we decided to have Kyle's party where we could have the grandparents and a few cousins around.
Kyle wanted a "train" birthday party. I was so happy to have this theme. We kept it fun and simple. In honor of Meg I am using ...the bullets!!
- I bought some mini-loaf pans and made a train cake.
- Went to a local grocery store and picked up empty apple boxes. Nate painted them and he and Lisa turned them into trains to run around in.
- Used the same boxes to play Bean Bag Toss into
- Drew chalk train tracks around the drive way. Kyle ran and ran in his train while yelling... chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo!!
- Found a train Pinata and let Kyle fill it with candy he picked out at the dollar store.
- Ate cupcakes! Yum Yum.

Anytime Kyle gets a really messy face he says "Mom, take my picture" Just as I was taking his picture he sneezed... It was so funny!

What a FUN party!!! I love the train theme and might have to borrow/steal that one from you. I've done a train cake, but I LOVE the BOX CARTS. You are super creative!!! It's been fun to see your blog and catch up! KEEP BLOGGING!!!!! I was looking for a baby pic of Braden and couldn't find one.
